It's been a while since we heard from Gerrit and his N64 emulator for MacOS, Sixtyforce, but now he stunned us with a release:
New features in beta 4:
- sixtyforce will now automatically run cartridges when you open them.
- glN64 0.4.1b1 is now included with sixtyforce. Try it out!
Bug fixes in beta 4:
- Fixed a bug that could cause sixtyforce to crash unexpectedly shortly after launch
- Menus should now always enable and disable properly
- Fixed a bug that would cause sixtyforce to add random command keys to windows in the window menu
- Fixed a bug that would let you control a game while a modal dialog was present
- Fixed a bug that would cause sixtyforce to report an error when loading some cartridges via an AppleEvent or dragging and dropping it on the application
- It's not perfect yet, but the speed limiter hits quite a bit closer to 30FPS now.
Cool stuff! Grab it here. Thanks to passive for the news.
