PS2 game card adaptor (USB device for PS3) querry

First has anyone used this?
Second does anyone know how it mounts the data from the cards? Is it a standard FAT32 USB file system or what?

It seems this device requires a proprietary device driver for windoze. Unfortunately the USB device driver for it for Linux is burried in the PS3. I'm investigating USB device inspectors from the USB consortium
