Hello everyone! I'm new to EmuTalk, and the general emulation/rom community, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Chisato K, aka Chisato Kawahara, (although, believe me, no one needs to call me that: I even get sick of typing it sometimes. 
) However, I'm sad to inform you all, an introduction is not the reason I'm here.
Almost a week ago I started playing a lovely little game that I haven't played in quite a while: (my brother and I both had N64's, but when he moved he took the game with him. Damn!) LOZ: Majora's Mask. I was very excited when I started playing, and I got further then I had ever gotten before.
I saved before the Snowhead Boss, a save state, turned on the infinite health cheat, (hey, I want to beat the game, not become a living legend at it! ;P) and proceded to beat him. Well, afterwards, everything was unfrozen and whatnot, and I proceded to take the test powder keg from the big Goron and blow up the boulder in front of the racetracks. I did another savestate then, AFTER I had now turned on infinite (and double?) magic meter, right when the annoying whiney brat baby goron asks if you want to race. Well, I loaded that over a few times, since I have found I really suck at that particular mini game, but I finally won the race, and got a bottle, and was overall estatic. So, I went back to the village elder, to tell him I had raced and that I would or would not be the new village elder, whichever was the game's storyline, to have the elder tell me to go think it over at the racetrack. Just like he had told me before. Hmm... Thinking nothing of it, I went back and talked to the big goron, thinking that maybe I was supposed to go and get my license first. Instead of a response, I was told that I needed to blow up the rock outside of the racetrack. But...I already did that!?
Panicking, I started my game over from the begining, being much more careful to use cheats breifly and not use a save state when a cheat was on, and redid the Snowhead temple again, this time collecting ALL of the stray fairy's, which I had not previously done. I used a svae state before going to fight the boss, as before, turning on infinite health AFTER saving, and beat him easily once more. :evil: Then, since I now had all the stray fairy's to take back to the shrine/temple first, I backtracked to the temple again, found the great fairy's place, and watched happily as the fairy's reunited with their other...whatever. She thanked me for my work, healed my wounds I had recieved form the snow wolfos outside, then...DISSAPEARED BACK IN HER HOLE?!? Wtf? Where's my prize for getting all your body peices you *&^%$?! :angry: Once again frusturated, I loaded from my save state, I beat the boss again, no infinite health this time, and went there again, and once again, bye bye she goes back in her hole while Link waves bye bye like a moron! Then, as a final try, I beat the boss with no cheats, starting from my save state, start my three day period over, beat the boss AGAIN, and tryed blowing up the rock outside of the races with a powder keg again, since I'm figuring that this problem is connected with the fairy. This time I do not race, I don't even talk to the brat and run back to the keg goron, and once again, I'm told to blow up the rock in front of the races.
I'm at my wits end, because I really do not want to restart my game again, which is why I included all this information, usefull AND useless. I'm sorry to add another Majora's Mask problem to the boards, but I did leaf through all twenty pages of my Majoras Mask search looking for a problem similar to mine, and could not find one. (I might be a n00b, but I'm not a stupid n00b! As far as I know, anyway; I think I'm just a very chatty one.) The ROM is verified, so it says, and I am having no other problems with the game except for two minor graphics problems which, thankfully, I just found fixes for (I think, haven't tried yet) on the boards during my search. Besides, I'm no expert, but I'm almost positive this isn't a graphics problem. I don't even think it's a compuer specifications problem, but I guess I could be wrong...
Please offer any input you can. Thanks for the help, sorry for the long post, and my appologies if this is in the wrong thread! (I use the Project64 Emulator, so I thought maybe this was the appropriate place...) (and I said I wasn;t a stupid n00b... *scoff*) Need any more info, the save state to check for bugs, or whatever, please leave me a note of what you need to help me (and how I get it to you ).
