how can i remove the echelon part of sonic adventure 2

hi i only got the backup verson of sa2 by echelon and echelon stops me from using chanka( it wont start, it goes to the play cd thing in the dreamcast bios ).....
i have search around to find out how to remove it but i cant find anything that i understand.
could some one please give me a detalied description of how i can remove it, i realy need it.

yes you can use winhex

all you have to do is open the 1st_read.bin with winhex.Then find the echolen logo on the right side.After you find that mark the bottom of there logo then deleat everything above that logo and all allthe way to the top.it's something like 0x0ffff find that and deleat everything above it,it may take some time to get it just right but I've done it to doa2le and the reat of the echolen release's

Are you sure the image is a self-boot? Try loadingi it with the utopia boot cd.
echelon games usually boot, but then crash, not just return to thecd player screen.
