?????????????????????????
A GF2? Yes, most certainly so. But if it plays the games fine, then there is no point in changing it.
A GF4? For emulation, no. For games, yes.

Elric: You probably have Intel GMA 9xx integrated, which isn't bad, and is certainly more than enough for N64 emulation. The issue is in no way related to your GPU; if you're just trying to use PJ64, use Jabo's D3D8 1.6 and you shouldn't have an issue (although this won't fix the issue at hand).

no, use the 1.6 plugin, the GMA 9xx isn't Dx8 compliant, just compatible

Wrong. It's fully DX9 compliant, albeit lacking a TnL unit. However, that doesn't pertain to Jabo's D3D8 1.6 anyway.

axcc: goddamn it, no it's not.

Elric: try Jabo's D3D6 1.5, or Rice's (with D3D Semi-Pixel Shader combiner) 6.1.1 beta. Jabo's is notoriously strict about exception handling, and Rice's is notorious for bypassing such errors. Unless something isn't right with your ROM, Rice's should be fine.

setting it to full screen makes it work for me
Same here! As soon the game is finished loading, press ALT + Enter, and it goes to full screen, and you won't see the error message again
