framebuffer emulation

I've checked emulate primary, but there's no performance impact and no framebuffer effects are being emulated (for example, zelda subscreen). And also, I've tried searching through the forum, but nothing talked about the static like subscreen in Banjo-Kazooie. Is this a known issue? I apologize if this has been discussed many times.

System:
Geforce4 Ti4200
Intel P4 2.4C

You mean the B-K pause screen? There's no static for me. Tried checking Self-rendered textures and Primary Buffer Textures?

The default settings work, so try redownloading PJ64 and getting the SP to make sure your settings are default ones.

I'm using Omega Detonator 44.03 drivers and I have self-rendered textures, primary buffer textures, emulate primary all checked, using PJ64 1.5 SP1, but framebuffer still is not working (zelda subscreen, b-k pause screen). I also tried reinstalling.

Furthermore, the framebuffer works if I change to RGB emulation and back to direct3d HAL but as soon as i exit the screen and reenter it fails again (zelda).

I think the framebuffer in 1.5 only supports certain cards, and your RGB experiment seems to support that hypothesis.
