Can anyone answer this complicated question about p64?

The only way i can find to really put this and make sense is by saying an example: Ok say i was playing a game on p64 like, um...bomberman for instance. For like a battle mode type thing, say that both players want to have their characters customised, but player one can only have it from his memory pack and player two can only have it from his memory pack. When i save a game it only saves to player one's memory pac and i cant save any thing to player 2's memory pack. how do i save some thing to player 2's memory pac? and then would it allow player 2 to actually use his pac while p1 is using his?

um.. i'll let Gent take this one. i think pj64 shares one mempak for all players.. which is probably wrong actually.

can you do this with n-rage's input plugin? try that.

actually i dont really understand all the input stuff but i have n rage in my input folder

on the controller configuration menu i put mem pac option for players 1 and 2 but still it doesnt count that player 2s mempac is in.

Good Morning 03.35am and just about to go to work so just saw this thread.

Smiff is correct about the jabo input and mempaks.

Nrage does allow you assign multi paks for both plays but it will still use player 1's pak as the default.

You can try changing player 1's pak for player 2's but i highly doubt you are going to achieve the result you are after because the real N64 Hardware does not function in that way either.

It should work in NRage's plug-in. Select the "Controller Pak" tab for the control for which you are working with, check "Rawdata", select "Mem Pak" and create a new one or load the old one that PJ64 has created. Do the same for the other controller, but use a different "memory pak". You should be able to copy the one that PJ64 has made and have controller 1 use the original and controller 2 use the copy.

Yea this is likely my fault, but we can rectify this rather easily in 1.7 beta, just have to have 4 controller pack memory locations and 4 mpk files as well, can you help me coordinate this with zilmar? danke

ahh! i did it! i had to change it to n-rages plugin but i didnt know how to do it, but after much fiddling i figured it out! Thanks guys! But what is this 1.7 beta ur talkin about?

Did you read my post just above?

The PJ64 team are hard at work on version 1.7 of PJ64. Only donators are allowed to test the beta versions; everyone else has to be patient.
