Can’t get it to work

Installed Chankast alpha 0.25 and I’ve spend most of my day trying to get it to work. The problem is I get an error message every time I press start. “Can’t read dc_bios.bin” and before you say I should just download another – I’ve already tried 5-6 different ones.

Here’s what I’ve tried of options and none of them worked:
- changed the virtual drive letter
- Tried it with daemon 3.47 & 3.29 and Alcohol 120%
- Made a cue file for the dc_bios.bin
- Tried all the different settings in “configure plugins”
- Configured the drive in Chankast
- Removed the tick in “read only” in the “dc_bios.bin“
- Read the forums/faq’s and manual

Perhaps it’s a compatibility issue my system specs are as follows:

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 (build 2600)
CPU: 3,20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4
Ram: HyperX dual 1024 Megabytes
Board: Gigabyte Ltd. 8PENXP
GFX: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200

Then I tried it on my brother’s laptop an old Compaq Presario 700 and it looked like it was going to work, but then I got an error message saying his gfx-card didn’t support 32 bit or something like that….

So can anyone out there enlighten me? The game I was going to play was Ikaruga but for now I would just be happy if I could get the damn thing started…

I’m a newbie regarding Chankast could someone please tell me what the dc_flash is for?

You made a cue file for the dc_bios.bin? Why would you need to do that?
Are you trying to load the bios by mounting it with daemon tools?
All you have to do is put the dc_bios.bin file into the same directory as chankast emu.
Also make sure you have the flash file.

btw, keep a spare copy of the bios file, it gets corrupted too easily.

Or just make the file read-only.
