wel well look who disagrees again
i LOVE that album. espically I'm With You, Mobile and Nobodys Fool. and then theres naked , Losing Grip and Unwanted.
untill you've heard Mobile (the song that made me buy the album) you have NO idea what she can do. and I'm With You is another song that you wouldn't expect to hear from the one everyone is calling "fake punk"

she's mass produced but shes undoubtabley talented... to be able to make it in the music industry, sing live, hell even just to record an album takes talent.. otherwise we'd all be doing it wouldn't we.
triforce: i have to say i think im with you is straight out of the britney/christina ballad hell writers club. BUT what sets avril apart slightly is songs like unwanted.. a genuinley good song. Nobodys fool was either written in part or in whole by her (obviously it was produced by somebody else, but then people don't seem to care who produces a song as long as the artist actually writes it.)
To be fair i have to draw compairsons, and in doing so.. compared to the other huge money makers for the record companies Avril is FAR MORE acceptable than britney/westlife/pop idol garbage

Opinion and personal taste are irrelevant when quantifying what is needed for talent and whether you like it or not, it takes talent to sing.
When quantifying what makes good music it takes purley personal taste and applies to nobody else but the individual hence its as sticky as quick sand.
Talent has many faces, even if the end product isn't to everyones taste
