Most likely this is just a newbie question, so sorry if I'm asking something which has already been covered.
Recently I purchased a controller adapter with the hopes that I could play games in PJ64 (version 1.6) more like I had on the console. The adapter I purchased seems to have no name brand; it's identical to the one in this eBay listing, though this is not the listing I bought from. PJ64 lists it as a 4 axis, 16-button joystick.
The problem is simple: I've set the deadzone down to 0% and the range to 100%, yet I can't do any analog stick actions at 100% (unlike when I use the keyboard). Setting the deadzone higher or the range lower only seems to worsen the problem. The first game I tested this on was Smash Bros., in which I could not move the stick far enough to dodge or run. I've tested a couple other games with similar results (I've also tested it on another system - Gens running Sonic & Knuckles - I didn't seem to have any problems, but then that might be because the Genesis just used a D-pad). I've also tried another controller (both official N64 controllers), with no improvement.
Would it be the fault of the adapter I'm using? What should I do at this point?
Thanks in advance.
