Whenever I try and run nullDC it crashes on booting, I never had this problem with my old computer that was running windows vista, but my new laptop running windows 8 it wont work at all, anyone else had this problem?

Hi I was wondering if anyone knows what max layers does, and how this effects games performance, is it necessary to set it to 64 to get accurate emulation. Also some games seem to work with certain internal resolution multipliers but others don't, I can use 2x and 64 layers with naomi games...
