Did MvsC2 get faster for anyone from .1 to .2a? And I mean in-game, not at character select. That part got a little faster, but in-game it got a lot slower for me, even with the Capcom hack enabled. It's usually less than 30 FPS on my P4 2.5 GHz /w a GeForce 4 Ti4200. I'm thinking it might...
This is what I read:
"Dummied games and dummy files refer to the practice of filling out the center of the CD with empty space so that the game data is pushed to the OUTSIDE of the CD. CD-ROM readers read the data on the OUTSIDE of a CD faster than on the inside... Non-dummied games take longer...
Is it okay to delete dummy files from your backups to save some space? Are they checked or anything for protection or something? Why are they there then?
As development of Chankast continues, will it's speed increase or decrease? If there are any optimizations they could make, of course it would increase, but if there is more stuff they need to emulate it could possibly decrease. Any idea which way it will go?
I have a GeForce 4 Ti4200 and I've heard that instead of using the latest Forceware/Detonator drivers, I would be better off using some of the older ones since the newer ones are more optimized for the newer FX cards. Has anyone played around with different drivers and gotten better performance...
Which does Chankast require more, CPU power or a good graphics card? I have:
Pentium 4 2.0A GHz
GeForce 4 Ti4200 /w 128 MB DDR
768 MB DDR256
Would I be better off getting a 3 GHz Pentium 4 or a top of the line DX 9 graphics card in terms of better performance in Chankast?
Does anyone else find it difficult to do fireball and dragon punch motions in fighting games? I think it's because they are not running at full speed. In MvsC 2 I get about 38 FPS and a lot of times my fireballs and dragon punches don't come out. In SF3 I get less than 30 FPS and I can't do them...
